Kansas State does not play a football opponent this week, but the Wildcats will be busy practicing.
During his weekly media conference Bill Snyder said there are a lot of areas where the Wildcats need to improve. “There are some very identifable things that we know that we have to improve on in order to be what we think we can be. The disappointing thing is not having made progress in some of those areas. There’s a plethora of areas where we need to improve, get better at, and some of them we have but not as many as you would like and expect.”
K-State is off to a 3-0 start with no game this Saturday. They play at Oklahoma State on October 3.
Snyder touched on obvious areas where improvement is needed including red zone and goal line scoring, turning the ball over in critical situations. There are some that we have not made the progress we should.” While there were less penalties in the win over Louisiana Tech last Saturday, Snyder noted, “But still I think we had four or five penalties in the ballgame, and that’s too many for us. And they’ve come at critical times, very critical in the ballgame.”
Snyder said the short answer is that the Wildcats are not where they’re capable of being.
K-State will practice Wednesday and Thursday, take Friday off, and practice again Saturday morning.
