Blue Jay soccer falls to Washburn Rural

The Washburn Rural Junior Blues defeated the Junction City Blue Jays 6-0 in varsity soccer at Al Simpler Stadium.

Blue Jay coach Allan McFarland noted that Washburn Rural is always a tough team. “We got them at home this year to start off the season, and I know some guys were concerned.” McFarland said some people don’t understand the history between the Blue Jays and Junior Blues. “That’s a good finish for us.
