LAST GAME SUMMARY
25/rv Texas 61, Kansas State 57
Game 24 * Bramlage Coliseum * February 7, 2015
- Kansas State’s late rally came up short on Saturday afternoon, as the Wildcats dropped a 61-57 decision to No. 25 Texas before a sellout crowd of 12,528 at Bramlage Coliseum. Down 59-57 with 17 seconds remaining, K-State had an opportunity to either tie or take the lead in the closing seconds, but senior Thomas Gipson’s shot would not go. The Longhorns’ Isaiah Taylor, who scored a game-high 23 points, would close the door on any comeback opportunity, hitting both of his free throw attempts with 1.4 seconds left. K-State dropped the close contest despite tying a season-low for field goal percentage (31.9), while Texas connected on better than 50 percent in both halves to finish at 54.1 percent. Senior Nino Williams led the Wildcats with 13 points and 8 rebounds, while freshman Tre Harris (12) and sophomore Nigel Johnson (10) were solid from the bench.
