Trick or treaters will be out tonight ( Thursday ) on Halloween evening. Junction City police Sergeant Eliel Borges said the witches wail ( warning sirens ) will sound at 6 and 8 p.m. signaling the beginning and the end of the trick or treating period.
Borges explained that normally the residences that are participating in trick or treating will have their outside light on. “Their front door step light will be on at their houses. Those are the houses that you want to go knock on the doors to do trick or treating.”
Borges confirmed that you should always check the candy that you receive trick or treating. “If it’s a ripped package or anything that’s been opened make sure you don’t eat those. Anything that looks suspicious in nature at all I would say don’t. If some people give out fruit I wouldn’t eat the fruit.”
It will be cold. Dress warm.
