New signs will be installed in the parking lot at Geary Community Hospital before this winter showing the current icy conditions.
The President of the Hospital Auxiliary Connie Peck said when it’s icy the parking lots get difficult to negotiate. “If you’re at work and temperatures change or if you are a patient and temperatures change and things become very treacherous you don’t know that until you step out and have a risk of falling.”
Peck said that signs have been found that change color with the temperature. “So when the signs change color then we will know and people will be able to be alerted to be more careful.” The signs will be blue but will change color. This is a Hospital Auxiliary project.
