The 1st Infantry Division has announced via social media that the Division and Fort Riley led the U.S. Army in retention this year–a testament to the dedicated leaders and supportive families.

The Sgt. Major of the Army presented the award during the AUSA convention in Washington D.C.

The Big Red One gets a training holiday on Nov. 1 to recognize the achievement.
