The Economic Development Commission arm of the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a reception for Washington D.C. area businesses Monday evening at the Association of the United States Army annual convention.

Chamber President Mickey Fornaro-Dean says local officials want to continue building on a reception that they hosted at AUSA one year ago. “We want to continue working with companies, meeting new companies, making relationships, hopefully in the thought that eventually they’ll turn their eyes to Junction City, Geary County and want to have a business here.”

A local delegation is attending the AUSA convention in Washington D.C. and will also meet with some elected officials from Kansas and Oklahoma or their staffs.
