Kevin Michael Francis, age 38 years, passed away September 11, 2019 while in Accord Hospice at Valley View Senior Life, Junction City, KS.
He was born to Kevin Mark and Cynthia (Griffin) Francis on January 9, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. Later the family moved to the Chapman area where Kevin Michael continued in school and graduated from Chapman High School in 2000. Prior to graduation he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. During his military time, Kevin Michael served three tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. After graduation, Kevin Michael worked various jobs between his deployments – Irish Palace, Customer Service in Alorica, Smithfield Packaging, Commissary, and the City of Abilene.
Kevin Michael was interested in electronics and enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. All his life he was happy, kind and willing helping others. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Kevin Michael is survived by his parents Kevin Mark and Cynthia Francis, Chapman, Kansas; brother Ethan Matthew (Ashley) Francis, Wichita, Kansas; sisters June Ann (J.T.) McLaughlin, Abilene, Kansas and Misty Marie (Mike) Nadeau, Calhoun, Georgia, along with five nieces and one nephew.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17 at the Chapman United Methodist Church, 426 Sheeran, Chapman, KS 67431 with Reverend Ken Trickle officiating. There will be visitation with family beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
