Marjorie Lee (Marge) Younger, 75, of Manhattan, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House. She worked as a Budget Analyst at Ft. Riley for 20 years, retiring in 2001. After retirement, Marjorie enjoyed working for Anderson and Associates Counseling as an Administrative Assistant.
Marjorie was born in Wymore, Nebraska, on April 15, 1944, to Walter Lee and Letha M.(Barnett) Boettcher. She attended and graduated from the Wymore High School in Wymore, Nebraska.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Justin) Gilbert, of Oak Hill, Virginia; Elizabeth (Robert) Morton, of Grandview, Missouri; sister, Shirley (Terry) Terhune of Beatrice, Nebraska; her loving companion, Clark Thrasher of Manhattan; his children Clark (Daniela) Thrasher Jr.,of Manhattan, John (Casey)Thrasher Spokane, WA, 4 grandchildren, Dakota Morton, Adam and Josh Gilbert, and Levi Morton. She is preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, and Clark’s daughter, Juanita McLachlan Thrasher.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at the Wymore Methodist Church in Wymore, Nebraska.
