The Geary County Commission has been busy trimming budget requests down as they prepare the 2020 county spending plan.

Commission Chairman Charles Stimatze aid they still have to cut $14,064 to get under the property tax lid. “Try to get it down to where we don’t raise it period, about 1.265 mills.”

The Commission will meet today ( Tuesday ) dat 10 a.m. at the Geary County Office Building to continue their work.
