A local Boy Scout troop has been a big help in the fire hydrant testing process for the city.
Junction City Fire Chief Terry Johnson credits Troop 41 for their work. “We’re doing our annual hydrant testing. Through the hydrant testing when we do our data processing we find out what color the hydrant is. Hydrants flow a certain amount of water and we color code it that way. Makes it easier coming into a fire or coming into an incident to know that I have this amount of water.”
The hydrant testing is a work in progress in Junction City.
