Bradley Jay True, beloved father, son and brother left his friends and family all too soon on Friday, July 13th at his home in Americus, Kansas. Brad was 58 years old and supervised the shipping and receiving department at Quality Profiles in Council Grove.
Brad was born on January 2nd, 1961 in McPherson, Kansas, second child and number one son to John and Karen True. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1979, where he participated in the football, the theater department and Future Business Leaders of America. His lanky six-foot seven-inch frame earned him the nick name of “Too-Tall” and his infectious laugh and sly sense of humor is fondly remembered by his friends throughout the years. Brad was proud to work alongside his late father and younger brother in running the family die cast design and manufacturing business.
Brad is survived by his children Jennifer and Brandon, mother Karen, brother John Randall and sisters Deborah and Lori.
Brad liked his music loud and raucous, his vehicles fast and lived his life no holds barred. The following lyrics from “Dream On” by his favorite band Aerosmith sums up his life philosophy:
Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2019, at Zeiner Funeral Home in Council Grove. Burial will follow at Sunny Slope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bradley True Memorial Fund and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846.
