Rev. Clayton A Burgess was born September 22, 1960 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He entered into rest Saturday July, 13 2019 while in Kansas City, Missouri following two years of failing health. His age was 58 years and 10 months.

Rev Burgess moved to Manhattan, Kansas in 1984 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a minister of the Apostolic faith and served in the ministry over 34 years. He was presently attending Apostolic Revival Church of Kansas City, Missouri Pastor Frank Ross.
He was a custodian and maintenance supervisor for the Manhattan school district for 18 years. He presently worked at Goodyear in Topeka, Kansas.

Rev. Burgess and Martina V Revis were united in marriage September 14, 1984 in Manhattan, Kansas; she survives. Additional Survivors, son, Clayton Burgess and daughter, Tanisha Burgess, wife, LaResa Burgess of Kansas City, Missouri;One Sister Anita Hugh and husband, Andre of Ambridge, Pennsylvania;Five Grandchildren: Paris Burgess, Josalynn Burgess, Isreali Burgess, Jayden Hinds, Jason Frazier. Also survived by a host of nephews and nieces.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Robert Burgess, mother, Helen Holiday, brother, Larry Holiday, sister, Brenda Tucker, brother, William Burgess, sister, Carmel Burgess.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday July 19, 2019 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.

The family will also greet friends from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2019 at the Al Faiths Chapel – Kansas State University. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the All Faiths Chapel.
