James Anthony Reinerio

James Anthony Reinerio, 59, of Abilene, Kansas, formerly of Junction City and Kansas City, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene.

James was born on November 28, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of James and Jovita Blancas Reinerio.  He attended local schools and then graduated from Washburn Unitversity in Topeka.  James worked his way though his professional degrees by working as a waiter and then managment for the Topeka Red Lobster.

James was a councelor and mental health professional.  He worked mostly for the State of Kansas in Kansas City and most recently with Pawnee Mental Health Services in Junction City.  James was a very private person but did enjoy spending time with his nephews and nieces, driving around in his jeep and riding his bike.  He was an excellent photographer, loved Starbucks and his big dogs.

James is survived by his mother, Jovita Smith, Manhattan; siblings, Josette Reinerio, Manhattan, Rick Reinerio (Judi), Manhattan, Antonio Reinerio, Grand View, Missouri and Charles Smith, Manhattan; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.   He was preceded in death by his father, James.

Private family services are plannned.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego to help with funeral expenses.
