Tena Freeman White, age 87, departed this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Heritage Oaks in Arlington, Texas.

Tena was born January 14, 1932 to Napoleon and Addie (Worley) Freeman on the family farm in the Sutphen Mill area near Chapman, KS.  She graduated from Dickinson County Community High with the Class of 1950 in Chapman, KS.  She married Richard Dean White on June 30, 1957 at the Chapel on McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas.

She is survived by one son Kevin and his wife Marlene White, Coon Rapids, MN, and one daughter Mary Celeste and her husband Michael Dvorak, Arlington, TX; five grandchildren:  Eric White, Natasha White, Hailyn White, Nicholas Dvorak and Hannah Dvorak;  two great-grandchildren:  Elliott Steiner-White and Nathan Alvarado-Dvorak.  She was preceded in death by her parents Napoleon and Addie Freeman; two sisters:  Dora Rudolph and Esther Burdick; and two brothers:  Herman Freeman and Ivan Freeman.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Sutphen Mill Cemetery, northwest of Chapman, arranged by Londeen Funeral Chapel.
