Stanley Robert Fells died on June 19, 2019 at his rural home in Herington.  He was born on March 30, 1944, at Enterprise, to Clifford J.  and Anna Elizabeth (Strauss) Fells.  On September 2, 1962, he married Patricia Ann Schlesener, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Woodbine, and together they raised one daughter, Bobbi Ann.

Stanley was active in the Woodbine community over the years, enjoying daily friendships with his coffee bunch, his farming associates, and construction work building ponds, terraces, pushing and hauling dirt. Stanley was a member of the Woodbine United Methodist Church, and graduated with the Woodbine High School class of 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Fells of the rural home in Herington; a daughter, Bobbi Bush (husband-Matt) of Lee’s Summit, MO; two brothers, Jim Fells (wife- Phyllis) and Pete Fells of rural Herington; two grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Myers, Danielle (Connor) Byrnes; 3 step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Gerhardt, Molly Bush, and Madeline Bush; and one step great grandson, Owen; four step great granddaughers, Caydence, Harper, Falyn, and Lea.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Woodbine United Methodist Church between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Services will be at Woodbine United Methodist Church on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at the Woodbine Cemetery.

Memorial contributions have been designated to the Woodbine United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society and they may be sent to Yazel, Megli, Zeiner Funeral Homes – Herington Chapel.
