Westar Energy has reported that electric service has been restored. The problem involved an equipment issue. Repairs have been made.

Public Works personnel are responding to a series of reported power outages involving traffic lights at multiple intersections. The JCPD reports that some of those include Ash Street and U.S. 77, Sixth and Jefferson, Sixth and Eisenhower and Sixth and Garfield.

The cause of the outages is not yet known.

Motorists in the affected areas should exercise caution.

Westar Energy has reported two customer outages.
