The water level at Milford Lake continues to go up.
The latest daily lake information from the Corps of Engineers puts the water level at 1171.41 or under five feet from the emergency spillway level of 1176.25. The lake is currently 27-feet above normal multipurpose pool elevation.
The lake discharge is at low flow, 25 cubic feet per second, because the Corps has been holding water to prevent downstream flooding. The current inflow was 9,780 cfs as of Friday morning.
Corps officials are hoping at some point they can get a waiver from their Kansas City office to release enough water from the reservoir to keep pace with the inflow.
