Three Quilts of Valor will be presented to area veterans on Saturday in Junction City.
Donna Martinson, the Coordinator of the Central Flint Hills Area Quilt of Valor Project, said the ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Heritage Park.
The recipients will be David I. Drummond, David Bradley and Kenneth Edmiston. All three served in the U.S. Army.
The goal of the Quilt of Valor Foundation is to honor and cover service members and veterans who have been touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. A Quilt of Valor is a lifetime award made to a military service member or veteran by grateful civilians.
In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Episcopal Church of the Covenant Hall at 314 North Adams.
