Traffic signal malfunction reported

The Junction City Public Works Department said late Monday afternoon that the traffic signal at 6th and Jefferson is experiencing an electrical short in the wiring. Temporary stop signs are in place and drivers need to be aware that the uncontrolled intersection is a required four-way stop for motorists.

The work involves putting new wiring to the traffic signal heads to the controller box. Motorists need to pay attention to the workers and work zone signage as they complete the work.
