New sod is being laid in the outfield at Rathert Field this week. It’s part of the improvement project under way at the local ballpark.

Once the sod is in officials confirm there will be a three-week waiting period before baseball play can begin on the field.

The new artificial turf for the infield and foul territories has been installed.
