Blue Jay tennis turns in strong performances at Seaman Invitational

The Junction City Blue Jay tennis team entries in the Seaman Invitational Wednesday all went 2-1.

Kody Westerhaus finished second in the top singles bracket, and Albert Caba and Erik Mitchell teamed up to finish second in the second doubles flight.

Coach Matt Mikheel said entries finished in third place were hayden Diestelkamp in number two singles and Nolan Rothfuss and Mason Richards in the top doubles bracket.

The Blue Jays finished second overall as a team with six other teams competing in the invitational. Junction City will travel to Topeka Saturday for the rescheduled Washburn Duals. Matches will be played at the Kossover Tennis center beginning at 8:30 a.m.
