The ongoing improvement work at Rathert Field is causing some adjustments to the Junction City Blue Jay baseball schedule.

JCHS Athletic Director Matt Westerhaus said the junior varsity doubleheader originally scheduled at Seaman on Friday has been moved to Wednesday ( April 10 ) at 4 p.m.

The varsity baseball doubleheader vs. Seaman originally scheduled for Rathert Field on Friday has been moved to Seaman on Friday at 4 p.m.

Right now the varsity baseball twinbill vs. Highland Park originally scheduled for Rathert Field next Tuesday ( April 16 ) is tentatively scheduled at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka at 4 p.m., but officials are looking at trying to move that doubleheader to a later date in the season to guarantee a home game for Junction City. The JV games with Highland Park were previously cancelled due to numbers at Highland Park.

Westerhaus added officials will continue to monitor progress at Rathert Field and make adjustments as needed.
