The Chapman Irish boys and girls track teams both finished third in the Marion Invitational on Friday.

Highlights for Chapman on the girls side included first place finishes by Taylor Briggs in the 1600 meter run in 5:33.77 and in the 3200 meters in 11:47.36. MaDeline Elliott finished second in the 3200 meters in 13:33.5, McKenna Kirkpatrick second in the long jump at 16’3.75,” third in the triple jump at 34’4.25,” and third in the 400 meters in 1:04.81.

The 4 x 100 relay team of Shannon Anderson, McKenna Kirkpatrick, Peyton Suther and Marie Meuli finished second in  53.72.

For the Chapman boys Aaron Modrows won the 1600 meters in 4:43.93 and the 3200 meters in 10:29.74, Izek Jackson third in the 200 meter dash in 23.75, the 4 x 800 relay team of Anthony Wasylk, Eli WInder, J.P. Mitchell and Aaron Modrow first in 8:42.97, and the 4 x 100 relay team of Anthony Wasylk, J.P.Mitchell, Izek Jackson and Blake Vercher 2nd in 45.09.
