There is a new agreement between the Junction City Police Department and Geary County Sheriff’s Department for a criminal interdiction team.
Police and Sheriff’s officers interdiction officers have worked in recent years on the interstate to deter drug dealers moving through the county. Now it’s time for a memorandum of understanding making those officers a team, explained Police Chief Dan Breci. “And as teams, teams share in expenses and assets received. And so this an MOU ( Memorandum of Understanding ) that is probably a long time in coming. We think we have it all set out right.”
The City Commission approved the agreement this past week.
