Junction City police detective Al Babcock and Fire Marshall David Nelson were honored at this week’s Junction City Commission meeting by the Veterans of Foreign Wars 8773 and state leaders.

Babcock received a certificate of appreciation, was named the Kansas VFW State Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, and was honored with a VFW national law enforcement award.

Nelson was recognized with a certificate of appreciation by VFW 8773.
