Geary County Attorney Krista Blaisdell confirms that a January 31st status check has been scheduled in Geary County District Court for Jeremiah Grubb, 33, Junction City, in the case stemming from the December death of Jenna Schafer, Junction City.

Grubb was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of Conspiracy to Commit Capital Murder. A formal court charge has not yet been filed.

Grubb is being held in the Geary County Detention Center without bond since it is a capital murder case. The status check hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on the 31st.

Blaisdell confirmed that Grubb had a first appearance in Geary County District Court on Wednesday.

Grubb was also arrested Tuesday on suspicion of Possession of a Hallucinogenic, Possession of a Stimulant and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
