A strong relationship with business and industry will be part of the plan for Dr. Reginald Eggleston when he begins work as the superintendent of schools in Geary USD 475.

During an introductory press conference at the Devin Center this week Eggleston noted first, he would letting businesses and industry know that the school district is open to their suggestions, and learning about their plans. “Any time we talk about business and industry from my past experiences, the school district is the number one concern most business and industry leaders have. From their standpoint, their thinking, if we’re going to bring 500 or 1,500 jobs we want to make sure that the quality of education is equal or better than what our employees had. ”

Eggleston will begin work in the school district on April 15th.

He has more than 24 years of experience in education.
