A national site selector recently toured Junction City and left economic development officials with some observations and tips.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Mickey Fornaro-Dean declined to name the selector who spent an afternoon touring the community, but did not he was impressed with the assets in Junction City. She noted that there are also some things that needed work. “He was concerned or questioned the zoning because there were things that were like stuck in places that just didn’t seem to fit.” Fornaro-Dean explained that he wasn’t insulting about it but did have questions about the different locations. “He says how you appear, how a community appears, is critical when you’re trying to entertain these site selection firms, large real estate firms and companies.”
Sixth Street and the downtown area were considered strong areas of the community.
