A January 17th preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Geary County District Court for Geary County Sheriff Anthony “Tony” Wolf.
Wolf appeared in court for a status check hearing on Thursday, during which the preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on January 17th.
Wolf was arrested October 18th on suspicion of felony theft for allegedly giving a county-owned firearm as a gift to a third party, and for the misdemeanor allegation misuse of public funds, which asserted Wolf used public money in a manner not authorized by law. He is currently on administrative leave from the sheriff’s department. Undersheriff Brad Clark is overseeing the department in Wolf’s absence.
Wolf was accompanied in District Court Thursday by his defense attorney Barry Clark of Manhattan.
