FORT RILEY, Kan. – Dining facilities across post will bring Thanksgiving to Soldiers and their families this week.
The meals, which are a holiday tradition at Army DFACs, include holiday favorites and all the sides, along with extras determined by the staff at each. Also part of the festivities are elaborate displays, all of them made from edible products, and senior leaders from all units in their dress uniforms, serving meals to their Soldiers.
Food service Soldiers at the three 1st Inf. Div. and Fort Riley DFACs – Demon Diner, Cantigny and Devil’s Den – will compete for bragging rights as a panel of judges visit each and grade their food, decorations and presentation.
