Ghouls and goblins, witches and ghosts will parade through downtown Junction City Thursday evening at 5:30. The occasion is the All Treats Day costume parade for children. The JCHS Marching Band will lead the parade from 9th and Washington down to 6th and Washington.
Parents can walk with their children in the parade. You should line up at 10th and Washington for the parade by 5:15 p.m.
After the parade merchants will pass out candy, said Amy Garner, Member Relations Director for the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce. “Be vendors out there with candy. The kids can run around and get candy, do their trick or treating. The United Way hot dog stand will be down there so people can eat dinner if they want to.”
The fun doesn’t end there. Kids can travel over to the 12th Street Community Center where there will be games and candy.
