Friday is the final day for Captain Brian Hornaday with the Geary County Sheriff’s Office.

Hornaday has announced that he has accepted an offer from the City of Herington to be their next Chief of Police. He has spent the past four and a half years with the Geary County Sheriff’s Department.

Hornaday said he has gained a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge that he will take with him. he thanked all of those who have provided unending support, and noted it was an honor to serve the citizens of Geary County with them.
