
The annual Purple Power Play in Manhattan runs Thursday and Friday evenings in the Manhattan City Park. This event always precedes the opening of the Kansas State Wildcat football season.
The Thursday night schedule includes performances by Big Time Grain Company at 6 p.m., Bates Dance Studio at 7:30 p.m., the K-State Marching Band arriving in City Park at 7:55 and a K-State Band Pep Rally at 8:05 p.m.
Football Coach Bill Snyder followed by other KSU coaches will begin speaking at 8:05 p.m.
Kansas State hosts South Dakota in football Saturday night.
