The CIty tennis courts in the 5th Street Playground Park have been resurfaced. The work was completed this week and the courts are open for public use.

City Manager Allen Dinkel noted it was a needed project. “I think moving through the financial crisis that the City had ten, eleven and twelve, some of those things got pushed back a few years. We still got to deal with debt and all those other things we have but I think we have room now where we can start doing what I call little polish projects, get the tennis court back again which is going to be beautiful now with the new playground coming in the next month or two.

There is an effort under way to replace the playground equipment and upgrade the Playground Park.
