Flint Hills Regional Council Financial Concerns

A member of the Flint Hills Regional Council, Tim Brown, Junction CIty, alerted city commissioners this week about the financial picture for the Council. “When the financials came out the other day there were only about between $7,000 and $8,000 in the bank and payroll on a monthly basis over $13,000.”

Brown noted there is still a line of credit of $115,000. “I think that they’re generally concerned that whether this can be sustained and whether this organization can go on.” Brown confirmed all 23 entities ( cities or counties ) that participate in the Council have paid their dues.

Brown, who is a city commissioner, also represents Junction City on the Council.
