Kansas man hospitalized after Geary Co. rear-end crash, fire

GEARY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Wednesday in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Micky L. Black, 33, Lost Springs, was southbound on U.S. 77 seven miles south of Junction City. The Pontiac rear-ended a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Ian A. Currier, 24, Woodbine.

The Grand Am entered the west ditch, traveled partially up the embankment, rolled, flipped over. and caught fire.

Black was transported to Geary County Hospital.
Currier was possibly injured but the KHP did not indicate where he was treated. Black was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
