Tanner Holen slammed a grand slam home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie the game between the Junction City Brigade and Topeka Golden Giants in the bottom of the 8th inning 5-5.

The Golden Giants scored once in the top of the ninth but then came the bottom of the ninth when the Brigade scored two runs. Tim Bell scored the tying run.

Then an infield hit by Carson Sader bounced extra high off the Rathert Field grass and over the heads of the defense into center field. Two batters later Aaron Sammaniego hit a single to right field to score Blake Burrows from behind to score the walk-off winning run.

The two teams play again Friday night at 7 p.m. at Rathert Field.
