Emergency Repairs to be Done on Rural Water District One Line

UPDATE:

Repairs were under way Friday on a major leak that impacted the Geary County Rural Water District One on the west and southwest sides of Junction City.

Water District Operator Mick McCallister said it occurred where the City’s master meter to the district hooks up on the corner of Ash and Spring Valley Road. The entire manifold had to be rebuilt.

McCallister expected the water service to be restored in the late afternoon – early evening time frame. He reminded the users to run cold water until the line becomes clear.
