The newest member of the Geary USD 475 Board of Education has taken the oath of office.

Geary County Clerk Rebecca Nordyke confirmed that Jim Schmidt took the oath on Tuesday at the county clerk’s office.

On Monday evening the Board of Education voted 6-0 to appoint Schmidt to fill a vacancy on the Board.
