There will be a change for riders of the public bus transportation service, ATA Bus, who will be traveling back and forth between Junction City and Manhattan.
According to Geary County Commission Chairman Charles Stimatze, the change will begin in August. “Instead of Junction City going to Manhattan to drop people off they’ll be taking them to Ogden and dropping off. ” Service will also be provided from Manhattan to Ogden as the other half of that arrangement.
Stimatze reported on a feature impacting Junction City High School students. “”She told us about a partnership with the school starting in August that all Junction City High School students will be able to use the (ATA ) bus with their pass, which will ride it for free. ” Stimatze added as long as they have a school ID the students will be able to ride the bus for free.
The Commission received an update Monday from ATA Bus Director Anne Smith.
