The Junction City Blue Jays put together two strong games enroute to a doubleheader sweep of Highland Park in baseball at Rathert Field Wednesday night.
The Blue Jays won 16-1 in four innings and 17-7 in five innings.
Junction City coach Pat Stivers liked what he saw from his team after a split in a doubleheader with Manhattan on Tuesday. “Curious to see how focused we were going to be today, but we came out ready to play and took advantage of some errors on the other side. But for the most part I thought our kids came to the ballpark ready to play today.”
The Blue Jays, 13-7, now await their postseason regional tournament pairings. Those come out on Saturday.
