The Kansas College Bass Fishing Championship was held at Milford Lake on April 15.

According to spokesman Rick Dykstra, the winners were Travis Blenn and Jake Hoselton of the KSU Bass Fishing Club. They has three Smallmouth Bass weighing 9.61 pounds. The weather was not great for fishing as the air temperature was 34 degrees with a north wind blowing at a constant 15 mph.

They are now qualified to fish the Bassmaster Carhartt College Series Championship at Lake Tenkiller out of Tahlequah, OK on July 19 – 21. If they finish in the Top 8 they will fish at the Bassmaster Carhartt College Series Brackett Championship at Milford Lake on Aug. 14 – 16.
