The Junction City Blue Jay and Lady Jay bowling teams have both qualified for the Class 6A State Tournament.

According to Coach Brad Adams the Blue Jay boys captured first place in the Class 6A Regional Wednesday with a score of 3384 pins. For Junction City, Tyler Gromlovits finished second in the individual competition with a 667, Christian Carter sixth with a 642 and Kazerick Smith eighth with a 622.

For the Lady Jays there was a team score of 2810. Taylar Smith finished eighth with a 564 and Savannah Adams ninth with a 555.

The top three teams in each of three regional tournaments in Class 6A advance to the State Tournament, which will be held next Thursday, March 1st at North Rock in Wichita.
