Three Point Shots Lift Lady Jays to Victory

The Junction City Lady Jays led Topeka West by two points half time. But the game changed dramatically behind the three point shooting of Kiara Patty and Briona Jensen Junction City pulled away to a 62-40 win over the Chargers.

Junction City hit ten 3-point baskets in the game with nine of those coming in the second half. When it was over Patty finished with six treys or 18 points while Jensen finished with four 3-pointers and 19 points total.

Lady Jay Coach Derek Petty noted in the second half his squad played as a team. “And when they find the open person like Briona and she knocks down a three that just gets everybody just excited. And then it boiled over, K-P hit I think about four or five threes, people played harder, we played defense.”

Junction City ( 5-12 ) outscored Topeka West ( 4-13 ) 43-23 in the second half.
