Blue Jays Fall on Late Bucket

Trent Cox scored a bucket with 7.1 seconds remaining for Seaman to give the Vikings a 50-48 lead over the Junction City Blue Jays. On the ensuing play the Blue Jays committed a turnover and the Vikings held on for the two point win Friday night in Topeka.

Seaman ( 4-3 ) was led by Kobe Bonner with 15 points in a game which saw the lead see-saw back and forth. A.J. Dickerson helped power a Junction City rally in the fourth quarter, and finished the game with 20 points for the Blue Jays ( 3-4 ).

In girls action Junction City pulled off a 43-40 victory over Seaman. Alana Kramer turned in a big game with 20 points for the Lady Jays ( 2-5 ). Junction City also got four 3-point baskets from Brianna Jensen.

Junction City teams will host Washburn Rural Tuesday night.
