The Elks Lodge in Junction City has provided a $1,000 check to the Junction City Police Department for Shop With a Cop.

City Commissioners were informed this past week that the donation had been made for the event, which is Saturday, December 16.

During Shop With a Cop under privileged youth receive breakfast and are then taken by officers from the local police and sheriff’s departments to Walmart for a Christmas shopping opportunity. The children are provided with funds to purchase gifts for their family members and loved ones.
