MANHATTAN, Kan. – Season tickets for Kansas State’s home men’s basketball schedule in 2017-18 will go on sale Wednesday, June 7, athletic department officials announced today.
Season ticket prices remain unchanged for the eighth-straight season, and fans have a variety of season ticket packages and prices to choose from. Returning for a second season are the Big Game and Pick 5 mini plans.
With the mini-plans, fans can tailor their trips to see the Wildcats around their busy schedules. A reserved ticket for all weekend games as well as the Kansas game (if not on a weekend) is available for $250 with the Big Game Plan, while fans can purchase five vouchers that can be redeemed for five tickets of their choice (excluding Kansas) for $50 with the Pick 5 Plan, price increases to $75 on October 2. Last season’s Big Game plan included nine weekend games and the Big Monday game against KU.
With the Wildcat 4-Pack, fans can purchase four season tickets in the bench, general admission and/or Cat Cushion sections (10-17 and 26-27, 1-2) at $900, $1,100 or $1,200, depending on location, for a savings up to $95 per ticket.
Young Alumni packages are available for all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (December 2012 to May 2017). These ticket packages are $200 and just $100 for those with Young Alumni football season tickets with an option to utilize the 5-month payment plan for $20 per month. Young Alumni can purchase up to two season tickets at the discounted rate. New for this season is the opportunity for Young Alumni season ticket holders to select seats in any open location, excluding chairbacks in sections 5-7, and no Ahearn Fund seat donation required.
Early-bird and priority deadlines are set for Friday, June 23 and Friday, July 14, respectively. Four and five-month credit card plans are also available for all season ticket purchases. Fans who order or renew by the early bird deadline can receive complimentary tickets, one per season ticket purchased, to the Wichita Wildcat Classic against Tulsa onSaturday, December 9. Early-bird renewals will also receive a $10 discount off the season processing fee when ordering online, an additional $15 savings off the fee when paying in full online by e-check and a five-month credit card payment option.
Season tickets will be available online at www.kstatesports.com/tickets starting Wednesday, June 7. Current season-ticket holders should receive their renewal information in the mail the week of June 12 and have until Friday, July 14to arrange payment and retain their seats for the 2017-18 season. New full season-ticket requests will be able to select their seat during the ordering process from any seat location available last season.
An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, chairback and cushioned seating. Specific required giving levels by section are listed at www.AhearnFund.com.
The Ticket Office will also utilize an online seat selection process, similar to football season tickets, with all season ticket holders who have purchased by July 14 receiving an appointment time to add, relocate or select new ticket locations.
Like last season, all season ticket holders will receive concessions discounts including $1 off all hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels and large souvenir fountain drinks at any of the main concession stands.
In addition to the home schedule, season ticket holders and Ahearn Fund members will have the first opportunity to pre-order tickets for the Wichita Wildcat Classic at INTRUST Bank Arena against Tulsa on Saturday, December 9.
Tickets are priced at $50 for lower-level sideline seating, $25 or a Wildcat 4 Pack for $75 for lower-level corner seating, $15 or a Wildcat 4 Pack for $50 for lower-level end seating behind the baskets at the INTRUST Bank Arena. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each in the lower-level end behind the baskets.
K-State will play 19 games in Bramlage Coliseum in 2017-18 with the season opener set for Friday, November 10 against American. The Wildcats also host non-conference tilts with UMKC, UC Irvine, Georgia, Northern Arizona, Oral Roberts, SE Missouri State and USC Upstate. In addition, the squad will again host nine Big 12 foes, including fellow NCAA Tournament squads Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and West Virginia and NIT champion TCU.
The Wildcats will return nine lettermen, including three players – Barry Brown, Kamau Stokes and Dean Wade – who started all 35 games for a Wildcat squad that won 21 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Brown and Stokes are the team’s top returning scorers with identical 11.7 points per game averages, while Stokes was the team leader in 3-point field goals (64), assists (4.1 apg.) and minutes (33.3 mpg.) in 2016-17. Brown set a single-season school record for steals with 82, while Wade averaged 9.3 points on nearly 50 percent shooting and is the team’s top returner in both rebounding (4.5 rpg.) and blocked shots (0.7 bpg.).
In addition to its returning lettermen, K-State will welcome five newcomers (juniors Makol Mawien and Amaad Wainright and freshmen Mike McGuirl, Nigel Shadd and Levi Stockard III) as well as redshirt freshmen Cartier Diarra and James Love III, who both missed the 2016-17 season due to injury.
