Logan Roether and Tyler Gromlovits of Junction City High School have qualified for the Class 6A State Golf Tournament.
Roether finished 8th in a Class 6A Regional Tournament on Monday with a round of 80, while Gromlovits shot an 88.

The Blue Jay tennis team concluded its season at the 6A State Tennis tournament held in Olathe this past Friday and Saturday. Representing the Blue Jays program was the doubles team of Guido Greco and Mason Richards. In the first round they squared off against Czapinski and Nickel from Lawrence Free State. They lost to the eventual fifth place finishers 6-1, 6-0. In the first round of the consolation bracket, the Blue Jay doubles team played Searl and Iba from Shawnee Mission South. The Blue Jays started slowly getting down 8-2, before making a comeback to tie it up at 8 games apiece to force a tiebreaker. After building a 5-3 lead, the team from Shawnee Mission South thwarted the Blue Jay comeback to win 7-5. The Blue Jay tennis team will hold their end of the year banquet this Monday, May 15th.
