Attendance for the Blue and Gold Market at Saint Xavier High School was up this year. The final turnout is expected to total more than 300 people for the fundraiser in the Bradley Gym.
Rebecca Cronander, who helps organize the event, explained people couldn’t go outside as much this past Saturday due to the cold weather. The event is a fundraiser for the school, with items up for sale from vendors ranging from food and jewelry to arts and crafts. “The bake sale money goes to the activities committee…buys things like new uniforms for our basketball team, volleyball team. The concession money goes to our PTO, which helps provide for our students. And the rest of the money goes just straight back to the school for
curriculum.”
This was the third year for the annual Blue and Gold Market at Saint Xavier.
